Dr Sue Ryan Goodman dba SRG Strategic Consulting LLC
Dr Sue Ryan Goodman (dba SRG Strategic Consulting LLC) can provide a wide range of consulting services in governance, strategy, finance and investment management to non-profit organizations. Past projects she has completed include governance & by-law evaluations, investment portfolio analysis, investment policy review, investment manager RFPs, project feasibility studies, and fixed asset assessments.
Sue received her Doctor of Business Administration from the University of South Florida in 2021. Her dissertation title was “Understanding Nonprofit Boards: An Exploratory Study of the Governance Practices of Regional Nonprofits,” which was based on interviews with 18 nonprofit board members in the Tampa Bay area on how their nonprofit’s governance policies and procedures compared to the best practices found in prior research. She currently serves as an adjunct Finance instructor in the USF MBA program.
Dr Goodman is a finance professional with over 30 years of experience in the accounting, investment, corporate finance and nonprofit sectors. Professionally she is a Certified Public Accountant (licensed in Wisconsin) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Before starting SRG Strategic Consulting in 2013, Sue was a Portfolio Manager with APG Asset Management in New York City and responsible for a $1.1 billion portfolio of private equity investments in the commodities sector, including timberland, mining and energy investments.
In addition to her DBA, Sue has an MBA in Finance from Rutgers University and a BS in Accounting from Marquette University. Professionally she is a member of the CFA Institute, and an active member of the CFA Society of Tampa Bay. She currently serves as a board member of the Girl Scouts of West Central Florida, as well as the Finance Committee Co-Chair.
